I received my veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota.   Hello! I've been a veterinary technician at Ark Pet Hospital since June, 2001. I am currently attending Globe College working towards a degree in Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. When I graduate, I plan on taking the certification exam to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.   I've enjoyed working at Ark as it has given me the opportunity to get to know our clients and patients very well, which I feel can allow us to offer quality medicine at a more personal level, it's a great feeling when your patients are happy to visit!   Working at a hospital that offers medicine to not only cats and dogs, but to rodents, reptiles, birds, and a variety of other pets, has been very enjoyable for me. It's important that even the smallest of patients get the medical care they need. My areas of special interest include radiology, hematology, exotic medicine, and patient care.   At home, I have 3 cats: 'Como', 'Spock', and 'Chance', and a chinchilla named 'Juanita Pepita' (Pepe).   Please welcome Holly as our newest member of our staff. Holly comes to us with years of experience as a veterinary technician. After a short hiatus away from veterinary medicine, Holly was lured back into the field by Dr. Mary. Hi everyone!  It is a pleasure to be back working in veterinary medicine here at Ark Pet Hospital.  My experience includes performing radiation therapy on the Oncology patients at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Teaching Hospital.  I have a special affinity for geriatric medicine and the challenges that it poses.  I have one crazy Australian Cattle Dog named Merlin that keeps me on my toes whenever I am not at work.  My hobbies include reading, paint by numbers (since it is about as artistic as I can get) and I love cooking with my boyfriend.  Thank goodness he cooks for a living because otherwise we would probably both be starving.  I look forward to meeting all of you when you bring your pets in for a visit!
